I purchased a tiger oscar and it is being housed with my LMB and a pleco, they getting along fine. I was just wondering about the temperature of the water as i was told that oscars need a certain temperature, my bass seems fine, but i was wondering if i need a heater and if i get one will the bass be fine with it?

i think LMB can deal with tropical temps, but IF you did id try to go the minimum temp the oscar can handle but that might cause health problems???If not i think its okay.because i know oscars are hardy fish

what is the temperature now? You shouldn't keep an oscar below 72-73F for prolonged periods of time

too cold. try at least 23 celcius

Il try! and another question is i have oscar food which are the pellets (a mixture of floating and sinking ones), will the oscar eat the pellets off the bottom?

off the bottom, from the top, in the middle, from your hand, from out of the water...oscars will eat anything from anywhere. Just a few days ago one was so anxious to eat the pellets that were falling in the water that he jumped into the bag of food!
