i have 4 motoro stingrays between 12 and 14 inches in a 300 and im starting to build a pond for them.i have always wanted a tiger ray and a local guy is selling a female tiger ray about the same size as them and im debating whether i should buy her or not.i have heard that it doesnt work because tiger rays are shy and motoros are a little more aggressive.but some have made it work.any info?

How long has the tiger ray been in captivity? I have keep my tiger ray in with motoros, Leos and flowers with no problems. :)

give the tiger ray a few weeks by himself to get unstressed from the trip... after it is eating them mix them up

I'd wait until you get the new set up running for awhile. Tigers can be hard to get onto food. Once you have space, and can get it eating, for it. I've kept tigers and motoros together before without issue.

Your motoros(are eating machines) will out compete a tiger for food. If you get her, acclimate properly and make sure she gets enough to eat.

Half true. When you first get a tiger ray, it'll be "shy" and will definitely be outcompeted by a motoro for food. Best to keep them seperate until they are acclimated, then your tigers will be feeding more agressively and will be able to keep up with motoros.

just keep the tiger sperated for awhile make sure its fat and healthy and then add it to the motoros.... if you freshly acclimate it to the motoro rays the stress and fact they will out compete for food might cause death to it
