Thanx:) Every day we just feed him crikets and like every other day mealworms. He is a piggy. Everytime he sees us close to the tank he always comes running. But today was his first pinky and since he ate the dam thing so quick we gave him another one and he ate that one just as fast.lol
 
i love how they look like theyre smiling all the time, ive never heard of someone feeding pinkies tho

Ya well same here untill i found lots of researching saying that they love it. But ya it is cute how they always look like their smiling. My gecko has the same look on his face too:)
 
I think it's ok to feed a pinky or two once a month but I wouldn't make a habit of it. They are probably high in fat and I don't think they make up a natural part of it's diet. Do you feed your salamander red or earthworms at all?

Oh Yes that was a treat for him forsure, not something he gets all the time. I have never given him red worms but he loves earthworms. Eats them like speghettiti. lol I think hell eat anything. Even if you put youre finger in without food hell try to eat your finger lol. Godd thing theres no teeth.

it reminds me of my tiger i had...i had 70%water30% land and something got stuck in the filter,decayed, and when he went for a swim he never came back out..the ammonia killed him :(
