Crush up the hikari carnivore pellets and gut load feeder fish and put them in so he gets a taste for the pellets. And every time u put food in the tank tap the glass. This will make him associate the tapping with feeding. And then after a while he should take pellets.

forget pellets.
you seem to have a tank full of feeders-seperate the cat -at 24 in mine attepted to swallow a tinfoil 12in long and about 6in deep-couldnt do it but damaged the tinfoil.
try not feeding for 10 days or so and throw dead food into tank hard enough to cause a large splash-with a bit of luck he will pounce before the food hits bottom.
only put one piece of food in at a time.
