no spooked! hah i turned the light off and in the morning turned it back on his nose was broken again. i should put a camera in there see what he does at night

I bought a zorro catfish a month ago. I placed him in my large tank with my 2 florida gar. One of them ripped up his trailers and placed a 1 inch, deep gash on the zorro cat's underbelly. It was bloody and I thought he was a goner. The fish was removed from the tank with the gar in it. Now he's completely healed and his trailers are growing back. My point is that he will be OK. You don't have to do anything except let it heal on it's own.

You could try to bend it straight, but it will be less stressful if you just let it heal. You also run the risk of damaging it further if you try to straighten it. Plenty of these cats have upturned noses from ramming their tanks. I doubt he'll fail to recover. Most of the damage is internal and you really can't do much for it. Just let him rest and heal up. If it were my fish, I wouldn't be adding any salt or changing the temps. If your water is already pristine just let him heal.

phillydog thats crazy healing story. yeah im just going to give it time to heal

My zorro is lucky. I just got him and placed him in the tank. He was gorgeous, with his long trailers flowing. My gar ripped him up and placed a big gash in his belly area, but no internal organs were damaged. The wound was completely closed and healed in 4-5 days. Nature will take care of your tiger, too.

I Hae a lima who startled broke his nose several years ago has not made a difference in his ability to eat and seems to have made any differance other than his apperance, my advice don't worry too much it will heal on it's own and he should be fine
