Who ever said tsn grow slow really doesn't know what they are talking about. 12" in a year?? Mine is 27" long and only 17 months old. I measured him yesterday when he almost choked to death on a 12" pleco. Lol so yes they grow fast and wat more they are a very active fish so they need swimming room. My 1500gal just doesn't seam big enough anymore so I doubt any tsn would be happy in a 135. My 2 cents

So you're saying that a fish that should be 2-3 feet at 3 years is okay in a tank that is less than that wide? A display case essentially?

I don't know what prime has to do with this. Yes it's a great product, but all of the products do the same thing for the most part other than concentration levels.

No I was saying just the opposite. Like I had said I wouldn't keep a tsn or rtc in a 135. I was just saying you guys are so quick to jump on someone for their set up, but who's to say yours is good enough. I wasn't really directing my comment towards you. You're actually one of mu favorite members. I was more directing it to the person that said please never give anyone advice again. I was just suggesting the person would take that as an attack and would get defensive as he did. I was saying that you could do it a better way by giving your opinion and possibly supplying some links to back it up for the person you're disagreeing with to read, so maybe they would learn something. I just think that makes you a better teacher.

As far as the tank size though in my opinion I think that once a fish gets to a certain size that the saying you should have a tank a least twice as long and one and half times front to back as the fish doesn't apply. At a point I think it goes beyond the fish not being stunted. Someone just took out their outdoor pond and gave me the liner. The pond they had was approximately 10 x10 x 4 ft deep, so it was approximately around 3000 gallons. Looking at that hole in the ground from their pond I wouldn't say that it's even really big enough to keep a tsn, rtc, or pacu in. Thats why I was saying that it'd be easy to argue any size pond/aquarium might not be big enough for any particular fish.

I was only suggesting that as you were getting on someone about their suggestion that what you're suggesting might not be right as well. I know you proclaim you got your information from reliable sources that have experience and are looking out for the well being of the fish. It's very likely the thought the same about the person they had gotten their information from.

Okay, thank you for clarifying, because I really do try to be helpful to everyone. I'm glad you recognize that!

Like I said, other people may have been a little harsh and I agree with that, unfortunately I Think maybe I might agree. Just better ways to say it.
