Which one is the mean one that bit the black on the head?
The one in the 5th picture?

Also, very nice.. I'm jealous :D

Welcome to my world. All those aimara owners makes me jealous, especially John :irked:

Yep the one in the 5th picture, i might think hes trying to mate with one of the malas. He chases the others away and he does this dance with his head shaking & shoveling under the mate. The pair seem to be around my big driftwood most of time.

I've heard females are more broad in shape, Don't know if its true hopefully someone can confirm. I believe the fat one is the female & the other is the intermedius, hasn't been fed for a day and u can still see how fat the female is compared to the intermedius.

No idea why my wolves are so active, maybe the current? They rarely sit on the bottom.

hope they can breed, free feeders!

14" your collection was originally what inspired me to do this combo. Every time i look at my tank yours pop up. Back in the day i could of only dream to own a Atf & a black wolf. Btw props for making that Hoplias web, very informative especially when you own most of the sp.

Thanks, thats nice to hear. I have been unsuccessful in keeping more than one wolf in there. I tried lots of times. Other fish are fine but attacks other Hoplias.

I have been a bit slack on the website and need to add some more content

LOL

Really? Your curupira took them out? My lil guy is quite shy compared to most other blacks on this forum, still uncomfortable putting him back with the other hoplias. He's chomping down lake smelts real good, hes like an armatus...prefers larger bites totally ignores feeders, i have to leave the smelts whole or else he wont eat it
