I've kept florida spotted gars w/ rays before. It should be fine... just as long as they are not gator gars.

There is only one "florida gar" but like 4 or 5 species that are found in florida, including the great gator gar!
I have heard a story of a gar biting a ray before, but I do not know the gar type. THat fact alone has kept me away from any gars
no problems yet. I had a nice tiger in with my gars for awhile with 4 other rays, and still have my leo and motoro in with the gars. I think you will be ok.
Looking good Michael. I have 3 rays and a florida gar. The gar doesn't bother anyone in my tank. They'll be fine. Now, if the gar is too small, they might become feeders to your rays.
