Not sure how this will be set up, but could you place a sponge over the pump intake for the skimmer?

the pump will prob get a sponge over it or ill just stick the bio ball pack in it im not worried on that for mechanicall filtration...
the skimmer im playing with putting a fiter sock in front of it somehow as i dont want that bio media to clog
 
Are you hooking the pump to the skimmer?
 
skimmer will run off its own pump because of all the bio in the chamber i want to try and keep this clean...... the mag 9 will push water through a ocean clear then a uv
 
ok. I thought you were going to put a filter sock between the mag 9 and the skimmer...
 
no... im designing something now.... but it is failing misserably in tests LOL


new thought pump a crap load of air into the skimmer and skip mechanical filtration... this set up is only temp and i dont really care about the mechanical end of it but i didnt want clogged nasty bio... wonder if enough air will keep it from clogging up
 
hmm lots of air might not be the way to go either....
 
cut filter sock and pvc seems to be how this is going to go.... i have about 8000 wire ties in my tool box so ill be good for a couple years in securing the bags to the pipe LOL..
