Tigrina becomining available?

LDWF informs me that they have no regulations regarding fishes kept for private aquariums. As such, they have no concerns on importing fish for hobbyist use, or any fees associated with such. USFW, however, does not answer the phone or respond to e-mail! The biggest problem importing fish is where BW's shipment would first land, and the logistics of shipping them in from Canada (connecting flights, etc.).

If he gets any Scatophagus tetracanthus this spring there WILL be an order placed from him by me. If any of you New Orleans guys have problems with receiving air cargo shipments, just let me know. I make multiple runs to the airport to pick up fish each week. I'd like to see a Crenicichla tigrina in person ... :)

I'd like to see it, keep it, and breed it in person!!! LoL!! That would be the ultimate dream!! I would love to get in on a group order from Canada....I'm in Mississippi, but still relatively close enough to make it and pick up the fish. If Oliver gets in some L-095 as well, I'll def. get in on the group order...because I am doing the breeding project. The more I can get from different locations the betta!! ;)

Someone who is used to importing and recievin fish from airports would indeed be a valuable asset!! You are right on time man!! :D ROCKIN!! and you love Crenicichla, so your more awesome!
 
Once you coordinate a group order, you'll need someplace to act as a holding area for the order until pickups can be made. Now, I wonder where there's a place that can do that?

good news is, supposedly the dont look at orders of 6 and under but over you'd need to track down some USW peeps to check it out...

So if we get 6 people to get 1 tigrina ea, we would have 6 in the U.S. Hopefully it could be 3m/3f and the 3 people that could handle the challenge gets the pr...

edit: then again, dont think I can part with a $600+ fish. I'd be crushed if the person told me it died. of course I'd want to see proof and a have a necropsy/autopsy...

Have Li buy it for you and make payments. The benefits of being a knowledgeable moderator on his forum. Many of my buddies here I seek advise from about Pikes all say the same thing, "Ask Peanut, he knows his PIKE". If anyone is more deserving of getting this bad boy it would probably be you :naughty:
