Your last two statements might be confusing to some. I interpreted it as you agreeing with me that a juvenile should eat more than once a week at 6" and that once a week is for more mature fish.

I'm not saying you can treat your fish in between feeds but I never had a problem with mine...they actually interact more with you and they will get used to it... there's no reason to fatten up your fish and have to get rid of it right after unless you are really planning on building a swimming pool in your house
They interaction is caused by the increase in hunger. And the reason to "fatten up your fish" is to take proper care of it. If you have to get rid of it right after you should've been responsible enough to know it's going to be to big and that you can't properly care for it therefore shouldn't have gotten it. But we all make mistakes. But feeding an immature fish the way a mature fish should be feed purposely isn't humane to me. To each their own though brother man
You absolutely right...but you all so should know that I hand feed my cats and they know exactly what's finger and what's food...they never bite in between feeds when I pet them so that makes me believe that they get used and they know when is dinner time or cuddly time.
But I do respect your opinion I just like to have the opportunity to make a rescue fish that is certainly going to be stuck in a pet store.
I also had a p.cok.bass sent to a pond in Florida and goliath will go as well.there he will be feed every day along with other Mosters buds.
