hey i was wondering what you guys feed yours....and also is there any tricks or tips that make them thrive like sorroundings etc.... thanks

and i tried the search bar so dont say i didnt.....

I just got one 5" last week never owned one before, I've been feeding mine live black worms and small feeder fish, wanted to get him started and it's doing great, I posted a question about the up keep of these, from what I got out of it is that they like a lot of water movement, people said to put a powerhead in there, I didn't my Tig found a spot on the bottum where the flow is and he hangs out there most of the time when the light is on, when the lights are off he's moves all around the tank, good luck

Dont over feed, that is the killer, only slight burge in belly in good. Feed every few days even when small. Ive raised 2 this year from 2" with no problems where other people I know lost there's through over feeding

thats for the info kaje what do you feed your 2 inchers?

I have raised two tigs. One was 19" when I sold it and I currently still have the 12 incher. Both raised from 4-5". Good filtration/water quality is a given. I agree on the flow rate, my tank (150g) has a flow rate of 1500 gph. I feed/fed both shrimps as with all my fish. I also read something about not over feeding tigs but I feed mine as much as it wants to eat. I think so long as you keep the water quality up, your fish will be healthy.
