You can starve Big predatory Cats for weeks if need be so a few days will do him do harm at all.
Starve him for a week & then introduce some Large Earthworms / Nightcrawlers or some River Shrimp once he's lights are turned off.
Keep trying & starve between feeds.
I never gave my Tig Live fish from Day 1, gradually he started taking worms/ shrimp etc.
He takes pellets of the bottom - Happy Days
