?
Hey guys
I bought a tigrinus about a month back,
recently I transferred to a 125gallon.
He has some sort of fungus on his face, for now he is eating well.
I did a water change and added some salt..Only fish with him is a similar sized peacock bass.
Water parameters
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Ph 6
Temperature 27
What can I do? Will meds be required??

I don't think this is fungus. In any case, my tigs display something similar too, some more, some less.

I have seen this on the photos of other tigs and some keepers have expressed similar concern too, which amounted to finding nothing wrong.

Thank you
He appears to have got this overnight.
Should I let him be?
Any pictures or links to this problem,I havent seen this before but then again ive only seen online pics and this is my 1st time keeping one

I couldn't find one thread I remember vividly on this topic. My tigs you can see peppered all throughout my latest Dec 21 update video of all my stock, which includes 10 tigs 10"-18" in 5 tanks, four 240 gal and one 4500 gal.

Don’t look like typical fungus on the face. Watch for now is better than medicating for nothing.

Salt is fine but don’t add again. Watch and update the thread is it progresses.

Ill give it a look thanks!

Hey guys just an update so it seems like whatever was there before seems to be slowly disappearing.
However now it looks like his got wounds and scratches on his face, only other fish in the tank is a similar sized peacock bass which is getting attacked by my tigrinus..I think I should remove the bass since he probably attacked the tig as well.
What do you guys think?
