Yeah....... They are MONSTERS! Once they get big, you'll find they can be quite difficult to get rid of -- especially to a good home. You could go with a similar species that doesn't get as big though. Lots to choose from.
 
Yeah if you don't have the means to properly house them go with a smaller catfish. Checkout planet catfish there are many to chose from. My favs have always been the synodontis African cats. Don't get very big and are really cool to watch.

yeah i know i am planning on a lima, but i just thought maybe i could do something bigger

yeah i know im going 2 get a lima.
i used 2 have a syno but i gave him away with my african cichlids because i didnt really want 2 split them up
