I'm thinking of putting together an asian arowana tank and would like 1 of these in there as well, it would only be these 2 as the centrepiece's and a hand full of clown loach, pictus or something similar, I know that I can keep them in the tank size I am getting but apart from that I don't know much about either species so any help/advice is appreciated :)

IDK of any significant behavioral or rearing differences between a tig and a jur. If anyone does, that'd be interesting to hear.

Either one, I think, will attempt to eat a clown loach or a P. pictus. The grown clown loach at ~10" could be ok with an adult tig or jur (~2') - their defense are the scalpel sharp spines under their eyes. Pictus, maxing out at 5"-6", will be taken down, I believe. My 5" jurs preyed successfully on 2.5" Pimelodus pictus (to my surprise). Even with an abundance of guppies in the tank, they kept taking down my pictus once in a while.

Yea I was thinking maybe I would have problems with that but I wanted the extra movement and I like both of them species, you got any suggestions on something more suitable?

Aros move non-stop.

Perhaps large silver dollars or tinfoil barbs could work... they are very aggressive feeders though. A school of >1' suncats (~10 of them) often hangs out in the open. Same for a group of medium pims like blochii, tetramerus, ornatus.
