Tigrinus Vs. Leiarius Pictus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know you got the LP, but I don't think you really could have gone wrong with either fish. I've never owned an LP, but can at least give a bit of info on the tigrinus for anyone interested. I have a tig who was definitely shy for about 3 weeks, but, after some patience, has started hand feeding like a champ and is getting quite happy to see me. I figure in a month, I'll have an incredibly beautiful and very personable tig. Sounds like the LP adapted easier to his new surroundings. :)

I'm picking up a 7" tig tomorrow as soon as the LFS opens:D. I have always wanted one and a guy gave me a heads up that he was trading in the 7" for the 14" one they had at the LFS so I went up there right before they closed and left a $20 deposit.

I need a catfish that is as docile as possible so my jardini don't go bizerk on him:D.

already took some nightcrawlers from my hand :)

Great to hear. Mine eats from my hand at the top of the tank, and whiskers go everywhere. Great choice again. How's he doin now?

hes doin great, got him on Hikari Massivores right now, as well as night crawlers! I would like him to get on Hikari Foodsticks as well, so he doesnt get a heart attack from all the calories in Massivores :) Here is a pic of him!

I feed mine chopped tilapia, pellets, and silversides. Not active during the day. I hand feed it with tongs.

I thought you had a Leiarius longibarbis ewurm? I think these are a little more active then those.
