Didn't find anything about this. Does anyone use this prolific breeder as resource for (live) feeder fish, and how should an easy maintaining breeding setup look like?
Seems like a good option if you need something over three inches.

I know of one member who setup to breed Tilapia but haven't seen him on the Forum for some time.

I know a Youtuber who has a pond (Well over 20,000 gallons, he uses as duck pond for his MANY ducks) with Mayan Cichlids, Tilapia, and Midas Cichlids, which they feed to Oscars, Gar, Redtail Catfish, Shovelnose Catfish, Pacu, Arowana's, and other predatory fish. He casts cast nets out to get tilapia and other cichlids in his pond. His food source to his predatory fish is the baby fish he has in the pond. If your interested, his channel is called Paul Cuffaro. Also, make sure Tilapia are legal in your area because Blue Tilapia and most species of Tilapia are Illegal in California.

Thank you, I've see some videos of him in the past, but didn't know he has his own feeder-duck-pond.
Being from Germany I must prefer something indoors for tilapia, winters are way to cold here, but that means nearly every fish is legal here :naughty:.

It seems they aren't often bred for this purpose. I think I will set up a tank and simply try it. I will use Oreochromis niloticus, these are the only ones available in my area.
But if anyone has further tips and tricks; you're welcome.
