Thanks again for the advice. All logic points towards me not getting him, as cool as it would be to own one, I don't think its the best option. As for my pacu, I keep hoping every morning ill wake up and he'll be peacefully floating on the surface. I can't bring my self to euthanise him.

that's unlikely to happen if you are taking proper care of him.

people commonly get them, like yourself- unaware of their needs & eventual size.
