Tilapia mariae - anyone keeping???

Go down to Alligator Alley, the mariae are very abundant there.:ROFL:
 
hi,i had a breeding pair of mariae that was housed in 125 gal with large community fish like silver dollars,clown loaches etc it worked well until they got older and started breeding,they used to lay eggs what seemed like every other week! I also noticed they grew really fast from about 2"-6" in less than 3 months! They ate anything and everything and had some brilliant patterns i believe they can hit 12" hope this helps:)
