Tile for the 400, help me choose *PICS*

yeah i dont really use the camera flash when taking pictures, but thats an interesting point. the light on my tank really lightened up the tiles



these are the standard 12" tiles. most places carry all sizes, up to 2x2





yeah i dont think sand would work. its hard to find really dark tile. i went to lowes and home depot. #3 was the darkest i could find but it looks so light under water and with a light top of it

my lowes has solid black granite for $8 a tile i believe

ok guys sorry for making you vote but i just picked up a different tile LOL. went to Bedrosians, a tile store, and found charcoal black marble for $2 per tile they were on sale, plus another 30% storewide. couldnt beat that so i bought all i needed right now.

ill post some pics of how it will look when i get home later today

1 or 5, they look most like sand. I get your drift about the nitrates though.

I find 3 has to much movement to it, it would distract fro mthe fish but two would just shine out those colours!

I too have tile in my 125.... keep in mind, the tile color will lighten up after a few weeks. The tile seems to take a natural color. Mine started a dark grey slate... you will love how easy it is to vac out the waste.....

Thats a good looking turtle,nice markings on the face J.I like the use of tiles,its a different look,I pick number 3.
