ive always wondered if blackworms and crap collect underneath the tiles?
Only at very small amounts, shouldn't be a problem!

tank looks nice mate. i tiled my new tank when i set it up. i used black tiles and tiled the back of the tank also. i also used black silicone to fix them in. i never want to remove them anyway so i thought ide just fix them in.

can always throw sand on the top if i fancy a change lol.

I think I will go this route with my 240 when I get it, what type of tiles did you use? What size tank is that, looks pretty wide!

I used ceramic tiles, with a porcelain finnish. The tank is 60"L x 38"W x 24"T

is it for the look or do you feel there is some utility there?

Did you just put them on the bottom or did u like grout them in/on there?
Give a walk through on how...i may try doing this

Not sure about the tiled look but that Silver Arowana is a beauty, very well bodied.

I guess the look is somewhat of an aquired taste. Not for every one.
The silver loves the rays diet. Eats everything thrown in the tank.

No, i didnt grout them. I basically cut them to size and dropped them in. I cut them with a hand held glass cutter. With the cutter, i scored each piece where i needed it cut, and then snap off the piece. Then put them in the tank like a puzzel. No silicone, no grout. really simple.
