Tiled Ray tanks

I did slate, cut them myself out of new roofing slate. Loved it. But same issue as others though, Algae. And I wanted the rays to behave more naturally having the ability to sift.
One advantage to using roofing slate is they have a flat back that almost suctions to glass bottom so food/waste doesnt get under them. And inbetween gets vaccummed right up.

That tank looks good! There is a million different styles of natural rock tile that can be used and will look amazing!

Can I ask how long light is on for and what kind of light? My lights are on for 4 hrs and I have very little algae.
