Time between movement and giving birth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well done on the pups mate. Just noticed your from Aus too, even better.

I have the divider ready, going to divide both of the girls away from the male soon, or take a stab and separate the girl who i noticed movement in first, in the hopes she will give birth on her own.

My male gives one of the girls a pretty hard time but leaves the other two alone for the most part, quite strange behaviour. Lucky for the girls they have started to outgrow him.

I have noticed with my rays litters she is around 55-55 when she is expecting full retic and 60+ if they are hystrix mixed. Current litter is 62 days since seeing first movement.

I have been told by a couple breeders here in Aus that their girls have stopped feeding up to a week before they give birth. Have others found this to be the case?

No my motoro normally feeds almost all the way up to giving birth. Sometimes she refuses the last meal which is normally my clue that the pups are coming soon.

Thanks for the replies.

My two girls have slowed down on feeding a bit, not completely stopped. One has also started acting strange, leaning up against the glass, which she never did before. I think birth is very close.
