Time for a new tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Move the jam room nto the garage. Those amps and pianos take up too much space that could otherwise be used for more tanks :headbang2

My wife had pretty much the same reaction once I started moving tanks out of the house and into the garage. She didn't care at all what I built/drilled/plumbed out there as it freed up space in the house.

Jam room is VERY important too lol.

I figured you would understand the necessity. LOL

It's hard to explain without pictures, but once the wall is up, the 180 side isn't all that conducive to having more than just a display tank. JC1119 could understand as he has seen it in person. That fact in addition of being able to up my tank count from 44 to a potential 80+ tanks, I'm good where I'm at. LOL

The tank is finally up and running. Just need to grab some pics of the finished product. Should be able to get them posted in the next day or so.

Well here is the latest update for this tank. Finally got the gravel and dropped it in over the dirt. The renovation really put this project to sleep for a while.

Here is when I rolled it into place

I was beginning to fill it at this point. I started by filling up the overflows and testing the hose connections underneath. I thought I hade some picture of the plumbing on my phone, but apparently not....

Here is the tank fully up and running. I'm currently letting the tank season so I can WC out all the tannins. Once it is clear, it will be planted and stocked.
