My 18 month old, 8" GT, seems to have swim bladder disease. He stays in this tail down position and can barely move. I have tried prazipro, multiple water changes and he will not eat peas. It has been 4 days now. I am worried he is starving to death. Should I put him out of his misery? Any thoughts?

Epsom salt. Does he eat at all? if he does soak his food in it, if he doesn't I suggest a methylene blue/Epsom salt dip bath for 30 mins per day for several days.

doesnt eat. May try the bath using my fry tank but I am concerned about stressing him out by moving him.

You can force feed the solution with a syringe. Better to do something as a last ditch effort and him pass... Then to do nothing at all and he passes anyway.

I would consider it. I think it comes down to how old this guy is. If you dont do it, it could cause him to die anyway. If he is old then I would not bother. I had the same decision with a 17 year old fish. Other fish out and do oral treatment or let be. I let him be due to age.

If it's only been four days he won't be starving. I've had fish be fine for a week without food.
Fish can fine without several weeks or even months without food. I've seen it first hand. 3 weeks without feed my Texas cichlid got sick. He got better but wouldn't eat and eventually just died.
