Time to face the strange ch-ch-ch-changes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You should get another one to grow out that doesn't have a broken dorsal fin...that never heals or straightens out.

Its been like that since I got him at 2". I actually like it, I think it gives him charm, it kinda reminds me of the tail hooks. Its also not nearly as noticeable when it's held straight. :)

edit-

Here's an older pic, its not nearly as bad as it looks in the more recent pic.

Congrats on your soon to be baby boy.... and i'm sorry you cant go ahead with the tiger collection, but you do have awesome fish currently, and your work in identifying and growing ATF's has helped many... hopefully you stay posting updates, and you keep increasing your knowledge on these unexplored fish.... who knows when your son gets older he may follow his fathers foot steps and love fish too, then you guys could get into it together.... best of luck chixc

large fish are a huge pain in the butt to transfer. I just recently moved my tank and fish into my new house and I nearly stressed my armatus to death.

Moving fish is easier than most think if you do it right, so IMO that is not a problem. I can understand the other reason though. With a baby coming along ( Congrats on that!:) ) you will be spending lots of money in the next time. Fish are a secondary in times like that.

I think you're making the right decision for where you are in your life right now. I've been through the birth of 2 kids, and also moving. That's a lot of stuff going on, added stress and all. You'll appreciate just having a few fish to take care of when you're taking care of a newborn child, trust me :D...

I think you've got the right idea with just the 2-3 fish, that's pretty much what I've decided on as well. I think it makes for a better showpiece tank for an ATF, they stand out on their own anyways. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, just make sure you keep posting on here and keep the pics coming.

I know how you feel chicx, I had to slow everything down once my son was born. Now if I want anything I have to save up for it so the wife doesnt get mad at me.
