I ended up soaking the Purigen in the prime for two days since I got a little busy and forgot about it. The next step was to rinse well then soak the purigen in water with ph buffer for a couple of days.
The purigen appears to be pretty much back to it's original condition but I really don't know how to tell. I won't need to use it for a few months since I already have new purigen in the reactor. Right now I have it outside drying out.
I've got to say, it's much easier to recharge it than it is to buy it new every time.
