How do I set up my ten gallon tank? The options are in, it's time to vote!

You cant put 50 cardinals and you cant put discus in your tank. If you have the experience, I would say planted with pipefish.

50 cardnials, 2 male bettas, a discus seriously? Those three are very bad ideas 50 cardinals is why to much 2 male betta even heavly planted when the see one another its over, a discus way to big hell you might as well make an oscar an option. Those three options are just plain an simply animal crulity and shouldn't be an option.

If you haven't done a reef before then that's my vote it will be difficult for a newb to reefs in that size tank.

I agree, don't put two male bettas together unless you have a divider.

What about the dwarf octopus? that`d be kinda crazy but something tells me that it would still be too small to keep the little bugger, maybe a couple seahorses, sounds fun they don`t get too big, ya know something some one hasn`t done before.

because you have failed to grasp the basic, yet ultimately flawed, 1" per gallon rule (50 cardinals???) new keepers generally follow then i have to add to some of the other question marks raised about your options too.

without prior saltwater experience, and from your list it looks like your lacking general fishkeeping experience at that, there is a high chance you will run into difficulty on a volume as small as 10 gallons with general marine inverts never mind specialist reef, octopus or seahorses.

have you researched at all prior to compliling your potential stock?

if not then i strongly recommend you do before trying to decide which to put. you need to know a little about something before diving head first into it. you will likely save money too because failure will be less likely. apologies if you feel thats a harsh or unfair assessment.

Ok lets not jump to conclusions here. I posted to get opinions on what should go in the tank. All of these options are from here and other sources. I have more than enough fish keeping experience to undertake any of these projects. some more difficult than others, some crazy ideas but interesting. I have larger tanks capable of handling any fish that outgrows this ten. I am looking for something different to try, something to test my skills as a fish keeper. I have a ten gallon tank cycled and I thought this would be an intrewting project. so have fun with it. Pics of the process to follow from beginning to end.
