Why not get them all the same size and small? Its fun to watch them grow too.
i think that is what I'm going to do unless I get the fish that Bderick posted the link to.

Brian, thanks for that. Not sure if I'm going to get them or get 3 small ones that one of the LFS in FoCo has.

Bre, there are quite a few in denver worth checking out. Mike's Killer Fish, Premier Fish and Reef, Fish Den, Mr. Aqua, Golden Fish and Fish Palace. The others aren't that great, although I haven't been to Essential Pet or Neptune's Tropical Fish. Look in the vendor forum on here for Mike's KF.

I picked up a flagtail today. It's about 2 inches. I put it in with my jardini (fed the tetras to the 125g inhabitants). The jar was investigating the flagtail and showed no aggression towards it, but I have to go somewhere now, so I put a net breeder in the tank and put the flagtail in it. I just don't trust the jar even though they're fragile at this size, too. The jar didn't nip at it or anything, they both just kind of were suspended right near each other not swimming or anything. The flagtail even starting sucking on the glass (there's a tiny bit of algae). Do you think it might be okay w/ the jar? I am going to go pick up (3) 2" tinfoil barbs and some neon tetras and put them in there. When the bag was floating, the serpae and buenos aires tetras were nipping at it. I think they are the ones that are nipping at each others' tails. I don't think the jar has actually killed any of them.

Took the Flagtail out of the breeder net and put in (3) 2.5" Tinfoil Barbs. The flagtail and the barbs all swim together and the jardini hasn't bothered any of them yet (YET!)

Serpae and neon tetras wont go with a big flagtail, they will get eaten eventually.

oh, yeah, i know, it's only temporary. i'm trying to "train" my jardini and small neons is part of its training, although I know they will eventually be eaten. thanks for the advice, though.
