This is the only photo I still have, lots of them got lost on the way. Those are tinfoil barbs, aren't they? Is there any fish native to florida that might look similar? I saw someone feeding them from the dock but the pictures didn't show anything besides water with a flash on it. The shoal had about 100 individuals...
If they can survive in the wild, why aren't tinfoil barbs restricted in florida? I think the lake might have been private to the resort so they could have released them into a storm water pond isolated from other water for fishing.
There was also an unidentified cichlid in the lake. They were a bit smaller than the tinfoils. Can't remember what color they were but it looks red to me in the picture. What say you? (Sorry if this is the wrong place)![]()
I cant fathom why they couldn't live in the lakes. I have seen what is either tetras or barbs they are small silver and swim in school .
They arent mosquito fish as way to big and I know mosquito fish but I dont know exactly what they are and have only seen them in canal
