Are we talking about windshields or side windows?

I had my windshield tinted with 40%, it looked so nice, but I got pulled over a few times and they made me take it off (by made I mean "If I see these tints again its a ticket"). I ended up taking them all off. I just didn't like the tints without the windshield tinted.

I got pulled over a little bit ago for tints on my truck. I got off with a warning, but I don't really want to risk it again. My buddy knows an eye doctor, so when I get back home for the summer I'm going to meet with him and get a prescription for the tints. That works in IL, so it might be something you can look in to also.

My trucks tinting is as dark as it can be legally in the front but I plan on getting 5% for the rest of it soon even though I think it's at about 15-20% right now.


I just got one of those red light tickets in the mail so I know how you feel. Traffic school is going to be fun though however, the 200 dollar fine will not be

the legal tint in md is 35% ... i had go to MVA (DMV) and get it tested... turn out i have a 15%... so i have to strip it off... before they stamp my tix has its been inspected.... now i debating should i retinted again... since i got my tix said it been inspected?? LOL

also that day i got a $60 tix for a no front tag.....

Makes me laugh I take it it a late car and other than that totally legal easy revenue from some one guaranteed to pay.

We have it here no insurance tax or log book get away with every thing. Legal go through speed camera at 35mph and get 3 points on your licence and a £90 fine. Great.
