I seriously doudt any payara can withstand a Prazziquantrel regement - hell cichlids can barely live thru it let alone a fish that is super sensitive to water quality and dissolved 02 quantites.

If your Payara doesn't have long stringy white poop WHY would you even attempt to treat with prazzi - you'll more than likely kill a healthy fish.

If you have not tried it, don't post. I speak from experience. I use liquid PraziPro for any and every fish that goes into my tank... LFS, Wild or MFK raised. Why would you not invest in 20bucks to know your fish will not pass anything to the other stock:screwy:

If you took the time to read the instruction and the Search Engine you would see Liquid PraziPro is fish safe :D

...or maybe I enjoy throwing money away for "Peace of Mind" :headbang2

Well thanks for all the replies , but unfortunately it R.I.P' ed for some unknown reason , maybe too drastic water changes :(. Who knows how long before they come in again

Oh that sucks! Sorry for your loss :(

In regards to the PraziPro schedule, based on wild or tank raised I wait 1month before so they get used to my weekly water change. Tank raised or LFS etc... I feed one small amount then start the following day

Payara can handle prazi. I have similar schedule to prazi as West and I have done it to 7 armatus to this day. The smallest batch were about 2"

Rosie reds or guppies are the main diet until about 6-7" or so

Go figure... My lucky number is 7 also Lol. Except that's where I stop until I get back into Monsta-Fish :D

Glad the prazzi works for ya - still I won't do it with Payara - also you assume a lil' much, I have used Prazzi Pro in the past with great success however the fish were sick and until they are sick piosoning them won't occur in my tanks. This doesn't by any means mean my statments are gospel and my Payara has been with me for 2 years and is a very healthy Scomb - no parasites without prazzi and eats live fish regularly.
