I caught this little guy today. I'm pretty excited about it since I've been looking to get one for quite some time. It should be a longnose as that is the only species I'm aware of being in the James river where I caught it, but if any of you think otherwise please let me know. Anyway, he's really tiny, which is cool since I want to raise my fish to adulthood from babies. My question is what do you feed one this small? He's barely 2" and so narrow. The Gambusia in the picture have more mass than him. I'm hoping the pregnant females
Will deliver soon, but I can't wait till then to feed him. Any ideas? Do I need to go buy small guppies? Also, you can see it in the picture a little, he has a number of bulging areas on his sides. Could that be recent meals jutting out? Or is something else going on? I currently have him with some well fed 2.5" pickeral. They aren't much bigger than him, but I'm a little worried they may try to make him a meal so I may divide them off.
