oxygen supersaturation is pretty rare, and more harmful than that. gas bubbles will form inside your fish. if it occurs, you will be able to see clear lines in the fins of the fish. the most common way supersaturation occurs is when a pump malfunctions and injects a huge amount of gas into the system water. i've seen this happen on a large SW tank at a LFS, nothing survived
