Tiny white crawling things.

they are harmless. they are having a population explosion because you are doing something wrong. probably overfeeding but slack maintenance can cause their population to boom.

give your gravel a good vac and reduce the amount of food per sitting. it might also be worth giving your filter the once over, trapped food is a buffet for them.

as for fish eating them, i noticed you mention a jag. i think fish the size of guppies and rice fish eat planaria but nothing much bigger however its worth reading up.

Suggestions would first be to cut back feeding. This will reduce their numbers. But if that isn't a reasonable option for you, there are plenty of flatworm-eating species out there. I see your stock list, but how many gallons are we working with here? I'd hate to suggest an inappropriate fish.

Approx 5x2x2.

Excuse the decor, I had to throw up a divider and add extra random bits to keep the Jag and the Oscars apart.

I have just done a quick water change and found an uneaten prawn wedged behind a pipe, so that has gone but it can have only been in there since I did my last W/C on Sunday.

I'll just have to keep an eye on the situation and I don't think I need to be adding any more fish.

Good point, i'll have to check the filter too.

I am like clockwork with maintenance though.

Wow, that's a damn good looking tank. Is that a 3d background or tiles???

Thanks, it's 3D tiles but they overlap on the vertical to hide the seam, I can't remember the manufacturers name. I purchased the wrong size because I didn't want to wait for the 600mm x 600mm to be ordered so it set me back £80 and it looks bad along the bottom but it's usually hidden with sand and the Fire Eels pipe.

I will be overstocked if I kept them all to full size so I have to decide who to let go as there is no room for a larger tank here and we have been looking for a new place for what seems like forever. I will try to rehome the JD soon and depending on how the O's and Jag get on when I remove the divider I might let the Tiger O go if I can find him a good enough home. The guy I picked up the Jag from wanted to know if I would sell him an Oscar but he already has a Mayan, 2 Oscars and a large plec in a 4ft set up and if he goes I don't want him being part of anything like that.

Here are some more pics I took last night.
