I have just discovered these tiny white worms that are about 5 millimeters long or so. I worry for the health of my fish whenever I see those little guys wriggling around in the substrate. Can anyone tell me what these are?

They are detritus worms harmless to fish. They will appear if you over feed also make sure you vacuum the substrate during wc's to get rid of most of the detritus worms.

Ok, thanks so much, that’s very reassuring. I also see these extremely tiny tadpole shaped organisms under the gravel along with the worms. Do you happen to know what those are?

Possibly Freshwater Coepods but not certain without a pic.

I have tried to take pictures but they are just too tiny. Are coepods harmful at all? Should I use salt to kill the worms? I really don’t like seeing them! Ugh

The salt probably will be ineffective just under feed and gravel vac every time you do water changes. Some Coepods can be harmful to fry.
