I soaked new food in chopped earthworms. I have found some types of ray are easy than others eg motoro took 1 or 2 goes whereras retics took a lot more patience. Great info though and remember to used a food they love first and make sure they are fat before you starve as said above.

thats how the blackworm freeze dried idea came about... retics are a pain to break onto different foods... motoros take me about 3 days.... my tiger ray was easy too had her on pellets in a week...

I'm curious what kind of pellets any of you are feeding your rays (type of pellets and brand).

Because, to me, Hakari sinking carnivor pellets would be expencive as hell....My largest motoro would eat a bag in one sitting.

i use massivore for my rays... its expensive just to feed pellets, so also feed superworms, shrimps and mussels

hikari sinking cichlids gold, hikari sinking carnivor and hikari massivore...

My ray are a little too spoil with 2-3 different kinds of seafoood every day.

They are starting to get picky and only choose the kind they like.

I'm gonna have to be more cruel.:)

what types of seafood... I would try mixing it up... feed one type a day maybe break a day off of feeding... this is what I've done in the past.... to keep them on more varied diet...

Bump this back up....
