tips for getting the humidity in my room up.

Another option is to use a mister, but that will cost you a bit.

A simple spraying of the cage 1-2x a day with one of those spray bottles you use for cleaning your house (Buy a new one empty) will raise the humidity. If your pet does not enjoy little patches of water after the spraying, forget about it.

i spray my glass tank 2x a day and the humidity goes up to 100% for a cupple minutes then drops back down to 30-40

mesh cages and humidity
its going to be for a chamelion pair. i need higher humidity levels than 30%.

i say just get your carpet out of their and build up your floor about 1 foot peat moss, hose it all down and there you go!:popcorn:if you actualy do this, please take a pic and post it.

What species of chameleon are you getting? Would make a difference to the amount of humidity you need to achieve, and weather or not that method of housing would be suitable or not.

My friend keeps a Frilled Dragon in a mesh cage. He uses cypress mulch and peat moss for substrate, he also got a fairly large water bowl and I think he got a $200 mister on it as well.
