I recently set up my 150 and added my pair of devils sadly the male shows heavy interest in the female but the female is being picky any tips on what I should do

How big are the male and female?

Just give her some time she will lay eventually. You may need to divide the males get nasty when they don't get laid.

what about a less expensive RD female? or a female convict? just thinking...maybe it would help bond them.have they bred before? some choices for sites can help-flat rocks,different pots,etc.

Stick a divider in there. Last thing you want is a dead female.

Maybe a large water change or the use of a divider will do the trick.
