I agree about the cooler water changes, and if you take Lake Arenal, (a prime dovii habitat into consideration), the average water temp in the lake is only 73'F, and when winds sweep the lake, Feb thru May, water temps get much cooler (down around 65'F).
I also agree agree about there being a limited market for fry.
The last time I had dovii, I picked up a bag of 10 juvies at the local fish club auction for $2. And being the only bidder, this may tell you something about their marketability, at an auction frequented be aquarists for hundreds of miles (including Chicago)
