set your temp to about 82 and then a few days with the water running in at 82 do a 25% water change with COLD water but not too cold. this makes them think its has rained and rain causes spawning

Thats what been trying to do lately but hasnt worked out . I got to do a good cleaning to rid the tank of those little white worms.

I do . I feed a mix of blood worms, brine shrimp and freeze dried krill as a treat every other day . I wanted to try live food but dont want them to get sick again an since my other tank is occupied I cant get a pair of convicts to breed as feeders.

Maybe they just aren't compatible? I have a pair that I can't get to spawn and I have done exactly what you have done. Maybe remove the male for a week or so and put him back in with the female as it sounds she is ready to spawn but he isn't.

They spawned yesterday but I got some pictus cats and they ate tbe eggs . But I think they moved em cause they male has been blocking them from his corner
