Hmmm, how big are they? They have to be about 10cm if they are legally wild caught, otherwise they are or illegal wild caught, or the seller swindeled you.
But be very proud on these fish, if they are wildcaught, you have a little gold mine to breed with
True, but tank bred can become 12, 13 cm, so ..... Over 4 inch. 1 inch is 2,5 right?
Anyway , be very careful with wild caught. They are harder to keep and to breed, but if you can manage to breed them you can get many nests of them, without genetic mutations or faults. So you got a good start
Try to give them some soft water and high temperature. Don't be afraid to get them at 30 degrees. But keep them single, I mean not with other fish, only some sterbai and fire shrimps to keep the tank free of rotting food.
That's some advice. I can give you more whenever you ask. And I bet "zebra-pleco" either.
Thanks alot! Im using rectangular breeding caves. Theres only cardinals and an otocinclus with them, i may just yank them out. Do they require the higher flow such as a powerhead to trigger the spawn?
