Just give them time, sex of the ray doesnt matter as far as them eating.Just keep the live foods available all the time.

i was asking about females being more difficult cause females of our sp. can be a pain in the ass sometimes so i figured it could be like that with other sp.:grinno:...i will keep food availible to them i just hope they eat soon so i can relax...i have been so focused on them that i missed the warnig sighns of my baby aros fighting to the death...:nilly: then my big cats decided this morning it was a good time to all vomit in the other tank so i have been cleaning tanks all morning aswell:nilly::nilly: good thing i am not working right now so i have time to do all this...

you have had them 4 days and ran a complete prazi treatment? my bottle says the normal treatment takes 5-7days.

also, carbon in the filter will take the prazi out of the water. so you probably didnt even give a partial treatment.

you may want to read the instructions on the prazi bottle and start there again. also, make sure you have plenty of air in the tank during prazi treatment.

you also have a lot of fish crammed into a 55g. the rays are probably stressed out pretty bad.

i have had them since thursday morning with prazi pro in the tank the whole time...the carbon was out, i forgot to put that...the extra carbon i just put in to day...i have 2 air stones in the tank...you call that cramming alot of fish into a tank? do you have 1 fish per tank or something? all my rays are 4-6", the bgk is 10" my lone angel is 4", the bass is 3.5", maybe 15" feeder minnows and 24 ghost shrimp i don't think that is crowded...

they explore the tank and play like normal rays just don't eat...if they were stressed i don't think they would play in the bubbles...

i fear you missjudged me...i never buy a fish with out a plan...i plan to breed them in either the pond i am buliding or my 180gal...they are not in the 180gal due to my kittins witch i have pics of in the catfish lounge...as for the current stock i just put my jar back in as it was getting picked on by my breeding peacock chilids in the other 55gal that i have...i may put everything but the rays in a diff 55gal once i get my new frame so i can try and train them onto other foods after i get them eatting...you must have missed a few threads i put up before that stated the plan for the rays...as for your stock what polys do you have with your ray? i had a ropefish that was fine with mine, but my sens would try and bite the disc of my rays....
