My tire track eel will never come out of hiding! Even during feeding time! I've tried feeding them in dark and never will he come out! How should I lure him out of hiding? Please help!!!

no big deal they like to hide i almost never c mine it only stiks it head out the driftwood were it hides ive had it for 8 months and i wonder how big it is anybody know about there growth rate
About the hiding, it takes time for them to get used to their owners... key is patience and don't give up..
When i had my fire eel it was the same thing, would hide all day and never come out... but after around 1-2 months of sticking my hand in the tank every day to try and feed him he finally gave in and started coming out more to the point where when he used to see me walk past the tank he would even stick his head out just to see if i was going to feed him...

Its the same for my tiretrackeel.
But it is still growing.
Wondering what is their diet.
Have to agree that patience is the key.
And they are beautiful!
