Krill, bloodworms, cut up shrimp, cut up smelt, earthworms, blackworms. If your tt is anything like mine, you are wasting your time with the pellets. Mine has never and never will touch a pellet. Anything meaty he attacks like it owes him money.

Actually I tried it last night just out of curiosity, and it actually did take one pellet from my hand, although once it realized it was a pellet and not a piece of krill, it wouldn't take any more, but I did feed it a few more pellets with krill wrapped around them, and it accepted those, so who knows, I could end up with a pellet-eating eel.drgnfrc13;4505651; said:It can be very difficult to get them to accept pellets though.
Feed once or twice a day until it is over 12", at which point you can start feeding it as few as 4-5 times per week if you want to. And feed it until it stops eating (which will be easier to do if you hand feed it).jsethcole;4570094; said:Picked up a TT yesterday. First eel.
He is eating bloodworms right off the bat, a little unsure about how much and how often to feed him though. opinions?
