Titanium heaters

i have a won brothers 300 watt heater in my tank i had it for almost 2 years i love it

titanium heaters are great if you have large fish like big cats or pacu and are worried about them breaking your heater

I've heard the best heater is the new Rena smart heater looks like a great heater pretty pricey but i've heard its worth it only thing i can't figure out is how it works does it use batteries or does it plug into an outlit ?

any body here tried the smart heater

WON Brothers temp controller failed and i lost my colony of Mbimbwe Fronts!!!! It's junk, do buy it. The heater is fine, just use a Ranco controller.

I do have a stealth and that works great as well.

I don't think you will go wrong with a Stealth or Ti w/ a good controller.

First, whatever you do, stay away from the Jalli titanium heaters. The last one I had lasted for 48 hours and then died. I have also used the Catalina Aquatics 500W titanium heaters (available on ebay) and so far, so good. The CAs are nice because they don't use a separate temperature probe...it's built into the titanium module, like a conventional heater. The Stealth is an excellent heater but has a maximum wattage of only 250 watts, which makes it undesirable for large tanks.
