TLKmDN MOVING 2 SILVER AROWANAS into POND! (25/6/09)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i guess i can ask my GF to take photos while i move the fish. If she lets me do it this weekend (since she just got back), i will move my silver horde (jar and green included) to 8' tank ... but gotta catch HBRTG first ( i have a feeling jar will not spare that finger sized juvi). They are not larger than your aros, the tank is 30% shorter in height ... that is why the aro looks larger

I don' trust my RTC. Let's see how full grown silvers look like in 8'x3' footprint.

some of the 8'x3' residents ... growing like weed (eating like pigs) - love chopped-up market prawn. check out them colors as well :D i will let paimas winter through in this set-up with a heater first. in my experience, paimas get along with silver aros quite well

PS: pardon the algae (will put background to hide it this weekend) ... but i am not really anti algae as long as the water is not green - besides maid got other things to do

PS:... i gave up scrubbing indoor silver pool cos they really freak out when the magnet is moved around (that is why the water looks green tinged)

wow paimas look great! i predict they will be moved in ure pond in aound 6-9 more months. great deep colours as well!!!

so far so good....one of the arows (the one that wasnt dropped!) has already started eating pellets so he seems pretty happy....the one who dropped is getting bullied by the larger arow and his ex tankmate!!! but he seems physically fine so fingers crossed!

need to increase quantity and frequency of feeding to ensure their safety! i cringe everytime my larger arow attacks them (territorial) because his jaws r so large!!!

Great videos, thank you. I hope that things settle down soon.
thanks for the wishes! things looks great..the fish havent tried to eat them...yet...ive been overfeeding them at least for the first few days!

They have already started eating but all 3 arows seem to display VERY territorial tendencies! i thot all 3 would school together :(

I'm sure that they will eventually. The large aro has had the run of the pond for a while.
