Hi Sir.

Am writing from the Philippines. You might have heard the super typhoon that hit us.

Some parts of the country still do not have electricity. A hobbyist who owns 2 30" Silver Arowana lives in one such part.

This afternoon, I'm "rescuing" these fish (actually buying it for a token amount) and plan to house them in my 1kG pond. Would you be so kind as to give me some tips on raising BIG Silver Aros?

I guess the first thing I need to do is to find a BIG cover, I kinda struck Aros off my stocking list because I didn't want to deal with a netting, but I guess now I have to.

hey bro yes i have heard about the typhoon. im so sorry to hear about it. i can only imagine what all of u r going thru.

Its awesome that u r rescuing 2 monster arows! luckily for u, arowanas are one of the strongest type of fish that u can keep. They barely fall sick and are easy to feed. I wud suggest handfeeding them cheap dead fish from the market. this will save u the trouble of finding live food and is almost much cleaner (less chance of sickness) for the fish. If the fish struggle to eat dead food then shake the fish in front of their faces. this almost ALWAYS works! just watch out for ure fingers! Obviously try and keep the water clean and everything shud be perfect.

the netting shud be fine for a while. Just make sure that the other fish dont bully ure arows cuz they might spook them into jumping out!

if u need anymore specific questions just pm me or leave more messages here. good luck bro!
