They sell these here as pets and in restos as ... very expensive food.
I tried getting one as a pet but got a staunch NO from parents ... traditionally considered as inaspicious pet (my mom tolerates my aros cos they are feng shui fish ... RTC is just a side bonus).
I have seen very VERY large soft shell turtles over here (e.g. in temples were they are not for food)... i will try to get some pixs. The size is mind boggling - your FRT would look like a new hatchling ... so be prepared for quite a beast ... yes definitely bigger than RTC. i recon if that FRT is the same as the ones we have here, in the realy long run your fish are turtle food

well ive never given him the chance to bite me! LOL. luckily for me FRT's necks are not too long. so if i carry him from the back part of his shell he cant bite me. but his flippers are so strong! i cannot carry him too high otherwise he will struggle. i slide him across the floor instead then he doesnt mind LOL. He is not very aggressive tho. hes more scared than aggressive. he hides in his shell wen i touch him. so cute!ctoychik;3625673;3625673 said:does your FRT bite? You are absolutely right, soft shell turtles over here bite VERYhard and don't let go
